Taco Bell Brings Back Y2K Menu Favorites

Taco Bell is taking customers back to the 2000s. The fast-food giant has announced the return of five popular menu items as part of its new Decades Y2K Menu.

Starting September 9, fans can once again enjoy these classics:

  • Double Decker Taco – a crunchy taco wrapped in a bean-filled soft tortilla, priced at $2.49.

  • 7-Layer Burrito – a vegetarian favorite with beans, rice, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese for $2.49.

  • Chili Cheese Burrito – a cult classic stuffed with chili and cheddar cheese, priced at $2.99.

  • Caramel Apple Empanada – the sweet treat with apple pieces and caramel filling, for $2.99.

  • Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco – the famous Doritos shell taco with beef, lettuce, and cheese for $2.49.

A Special Box for Fans

Taco Bell is also launching a new $9 Discovery Luxe Box. It includes a soft drink, two Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos, nachos, and a Crunchwrap Supreme.

The Crunchwrap Supreme, which first appeared in the 2000s, remains one of Taco Bell’s best-sellers even today.

Early Access for Rewards Members

Taco Bell Rewards members can get early access to the Caramel Apple Empanada from September 2–8 before it hits menus nationwide.

New Drink Lineup

Alongside the Y2K Menu, Taco Bell has also introduced new Refrescas drinks:

  • Agua Refrescas ($3.99): Made with freeze-dried fruit and green tea. Flavors include strawberry passionfruit, dragonfruit berry, and mango peach.

  • Rockstar Energy Refrescas ($4.49): High-energy drinks in pineapple lime or tropical punch flavors, with 200 mg of caffeine.

  • Refresca Freeze ($3.79–$3.99): A frozen version of Refrescas with real fruit pieces, available in strawberry lime.

A Nostalgic Comeback

Taco Bell’s Chief Marketing Officer, Taylor Montgomery, said:

“Fans have never stopped asking for these items, and honestly, we’ve missed them too.”

This is not the first time Taco Bell has brought back old favorites. Last year, the chain relaunched its Decades Menu, celebrating iconic foods from different decades starting in the 1960s.

Now, the Y2K Menu is giving fans another reason to relive the taste of the 2000s.
